My DS received an LOA in December and has received a "qualified letter" for academics and physical aptitude as well as a congressional nomination. Last week he received a medical DQ for a shellfish allergy. My DS underwent a food challenge over a year ago and was cleared of all allergies to shellfish at that time. After reading the "FAST" thread and link referred to in the thread, it seems that maybe he should have submitted the physician's documentation to DoDMERB rather than just refer to his food challenge in his medical history. My question... Is it too late to submit this to DoDMERB or does he wait for the waiver process at this point?

It is NOT too late
Yes, he should send. We'll process and provide to the Academy(ies) where he applied.:)

so... my son turned in the documentation for his food challenge for shellfish. On the documentation, it was listed that he was prescribed albuterol. Turns out when he was 12 he was prescribed albuterol for reactive airway disease from a cold. He never took it (which is stated in his record). He was again prescribed when he was 14 at that time he was doing summer training for XC and we had wildfire smoke in the area. He is a very High-Level runner and has not had any "reactive airway" symptoms bother him while competing or training other than that summer. There is nowhere to provide these details in the questionnaire provided for him to fill out. Asking if we could provide additional documentation to explain this with the questionnaire (doctor's letter/notes/personal statement)?
