My son wants to apply to USMMA and is going into his junior year. It is his top choice but I don't want him to get his hopes up if he won't even be able to go. Years ago when he was in middle school he dislocated his elbow in a wrestling match and will never be able to straighten his arm again. There is nothing wrong except that his arm won't go down all the way because of his elbow. He has lettered in football, baseball, and swimming and the arm has never been a problem and has passed multiple sports physicals. I just could not find any info on arm length on the medical qualifications. Could this get him disqualified?

Have your son, the potential applicant, send me an email Lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil. Have him paste your posting to the email.

Go to the dodmerb website (Google DoDMERB). Both of you read the document under the tab, "Questions about the Process." You read paragraph 4. Both of you read the entire document. As he's going into his junior year, certainly you can watch over his shoulder :wiggle:
