Medical Record update from physicians

My DS is seriously thinking about possibly attending one of the academies. He’s a junior in HS, but we’ve already pulled his medical records from a number of his docs. It looks as if there are a couple things that could potentially be disqualifying and he will likely need a doctor to update his medical records to advise that he doesn’t have a particular medical condition or has been asymptomatic for years. Should I go to the docs now? Is it too early? Or should I go just before the medical exam next year? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
