My DS has requested his records from the locations he was asked to. My question is Will Dod MERB service person help get them if this continues. I do not want him do be looked over because they wont send the records. Semper Fi and thanks in advance !!!!

I wouldn't know it from the posting, but I assume DS is having problems getting the records.

If your son not 18, as a prarent/guardian, you are legally authorized to obtain the records. If he is over 18, he is legally authorized to obtain the records. DoDMERB doesn't obtain the records nor is asking for any releases

yes sir thats correct he is 18 and has requested them but, so far they havent arrived I am a worry wart

To be taken in the context meant: I want to be tall, dark, and handsome too. But that hasn't happened in 7 decades

Follow up on this. Or he may be missing out on a great opportunity.

Unrelated to an appointment, my son needed his medical records. He requested, time passed, nothing arrived. He followed up, turns out they were archieved off-site, third party, due to a change in their original process. Long story short, he located them, arranged to pick them up in person (actually I did, with his signed release to me).

Follow up. Insist to talk to someone and figure it out.

Same for us. We requested records early (anticipating a possible DQ) and it was not straight forward. My daughter was 17 at the time so I was the one calling various locations trying to track down how to get them. Like justdoit19 said, I would follow up or have your son follow up. Is there a phone number to call?
