My application status is currently on hold and my medical status says remedial. Can anyone help me find out more information? Thanks

If your question is to me, I gave you the pathway to contact me..???...

Very common. Both my kids had to submit remedial information before their appointments. Don't worry until it's time to worry. Do exactly what is asked in the remedial as quickly as you can. They would not have asked for a remedial if they did not find you to be a competitive candidate. Good luck.

So my status is "Awaiting Reciept of Remedial." As I understand the flow chart, I am to receive a letter explaining what I need to do now. Can anyone tell me if this is a written letter or email? I just left for spring break and will not be home for a week. Moreover, though I've updated my address on the DoDMERB website and it has the correct address on my profile page, it still shows my old address on the opening page. I just don't want to waste anytime awaitng a letter that may be going to a wrong address. Thanks, in advance for any help!

You must know the issue that caused you to be medically disqualified. There will be a code or codes that you can look up. Once you know the reason for your DQ, gather all the medical information, charts, doctor's notes, etc. related to that condition. That will be your starting place and you can do that right away while you await the specifics they are looking for. It may be that they need a clarifying letter from your doctor. They may need you to see a specialist for testing or further analysis of your condition. Time is of the essence, especially so late in the admissions cycle. If you really want an appointment, I would cut your break short and put this issue first on your schedule. If you do not see the letter in the next day or two, you can contact the academy and get a better idea of what they need. Good luck.

1. As I understand the flow chart, there is no DQ yet. Just a potential request for more info, appts, from DoDMERB. And no, there is no reason/condition that I can think of that would cause the need for remediation. Nonetheless, I am worried that the letter will go to the wrong address!

My DS was remedial for a short time. We waited for a letter and none came. It was resolved without us ever knowing what it was. Some say it may be that the doctor didn’t sign the paper or something. It could be anything. Good luck
