Dd emailed today with dq due to short time (6months at most ) depression due to school issues. 2012. Saw physician 2 times total regarding issue. Not an ongoing problem . She is considered competitive and waiver filed. Nomination complete, being considered for athletics at academy as well. She also has tribal affiliation. Any ideas if what process now will be?

It will go to the commissioning source medical review board.

I would recommend you pm Maybry if they do not post. They will have a better idea of the antidepression drugs she took and how they will look at it than anyone else here.

Good luck!

Outpatient treatment for depression lasting 6 months or longer is a DQ for Army recruitment.

Is it possible to be wavered with usafa? Two appointments with Dr within 3 months one in Jan and one in March but never seen by physician again?

I don't know the specifics about AF medical requirements, but as a general rule of thumb Army medical standards are the lowest among the services.
