Medical Waiver

Hello all,
I received an LOA to KP contingent on a medical waiver for high protein in urine. The admissions director submitted the waiver to BUMED a few weeks ago and I am waiting for determination. I have also been applying to USNA and I received a medical waiver there for the same issue. What is the chance since I got a waiver to USNA that I can get one for KP, and has anyone here received a waiver for the a similar issue?

We have no experience with your specific medical issue. Regarding the waiver process, our DD had a vision DQ which was waived by USMMA but not USNA. Each service academy has its own standards for waivers and you will find that it is often difficult to predict what the decision will be. With USMMA, our DD emailed her admissions rep about the waiver issue and had a decision within a few days after that. I would follow up again with yours, given it is becoming late in the admissions year. Good luck!
