I am midway through my application to USAFA and my DoDMERB Exam just came in saying that I have not met the medical standards. Nothing is wrong with me but my sister has an extremely rare disease called spondylolysis (inflammation of the back and the vertebrae can fuse together). They said I can possibly get a medical waiver. How hard is it to get the waiver and can this affect other aspects of my application?
I'm confused - how would DODMERB know anything about your sister's medical condition? What code do they list for your DQ?I am midway through my application to USAFA and my DoDMERB Exam just came in saying that I have not met the medical standards.
