**Two issues today for the rest of the selection cycle for Class of 2025 for Service Academies: I'm a very accommodating guy, but I'm not going to reply anymore in a play-by-play mode to folks that ask daily questions on the same issue, which does not pertain to DoDMERB. I truly understand the angst of receiving decisions, but when the decisions aren't even in the DoDMERB realm.... I'm severely handicapped. Google "DoDMERB;" Hit "Questions on the process;" Waivers are discussed in paragraphs 11-23. ---- Recurring question: "But it doesn't give a solid timeline???" That's because there is no solid timeline. Not what you wanted to hear, but reality nonetheless.**
1 = DoDMERB does NOT grant or deny medical waivers. Service Academies do.
2 = Repost =
Before writing a dissertation on why you should NOT be DQd because you're "fine" now, please read the DNMMS (Does Not Meet Medical Standards)--closely.
Example: "Orthopedic injury occurring in the preceding 6 Months"...or "History of"...or something similar... is hard and fast.
The fact that you may be "fine" now, will be important for the medical waiver authorities, if pursued for a medical waiver by the Academy or ROTC program, but it will NOT change the DoDMERB DQ.
