I have been disqualified by DoDmerb for having Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ) in my jaw. This has never been a problem for me and it is healed. I am surprised that it even came up to DoDmerb. Is this minor condition easily awarded a waiver?

It's up to USNA

USNA medical will be the governing body that deals with medical waivers. This process is initiated by USNA for those candidates they want to offer an appointment to. I would call them if you want to know if your medical condition is waiverable. Good luck.

Should be a minor issue that might require a letter from your Pediatrician and/or DDS.

We had three issues, all letters from treating HCPs that resolved waivers quickly.
