Hi! I tried calling the Cadet Clinic but I didn't know where to ask them so I thought I'd take a shot at it here.

I have hayfever and I take a generic (Costco/Target) brand of Zyrtec. Would they take that away from me at In-processing or is there any chance I'm allowed to keep it?

Thanks for the help!

I had this exact same question last year. You don't need to bring it. On I-day you will be be passed through a medical station. Just tell them that you take Zyrtec, and they will fill a prescription for you on the spot.

If you bring any medication, they will confiscate it.

Clarification: Do not bring any non-prescription (over-the-counter)medications. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you are supposed to bring prescription medicines with you.

In my prep school appointee book, it says to bring prescription meds with you. Don't bring a whole slew of them, just enough to last for like 3 weeks or so. Make sure to bring them in the original prescription container though. This will A) prove you actually have a prescription for it and, B) tell them exactly what it is, so if they need to refill it, they can.
