Meeting ROTC staff while on college visits

Make sure to stop your son from any walks upstars or next door in all those military science buildings he visits. He might change his mind on what branch of ROTC to sign up for if he sees a good lookin' set of blues

My DS's first choice school is 8 hours away, so he interviewed locally. Since he plays a fall, winter, and spring sport, it would have been difficult ( not to mention expensive) to get down there for an interview. The interview went well and he did send a thank you email. It's always nice to thank someone for their time, so I think that is always a good call. Just have your son keep reaching out to the ROO or PMS at the schools he wants to attend and keep them posted on his application progress, even if he doesn't get a response. At least they will know he is making an effort.
Best of luck!

Thanks everyone. The college that is closest to the top of DS's list called today. They said they would be happy to do his PMS interview instead of the less formal one we had planned while we are there next week.

Any tips I can share with his to help him prepare?

 He is already getting calls from the local NROTC recruiter. These guys must share mailing lists.
