Thank you for posting this, it carried greater meaning for our family today, This morning my Father in Law passed at the age of 94, he was a WW2 Navy Veteran that served throughout the War. His service took him from the Invasion of Africa to the Battle of Leyte Gulf and points in between. I was proud to be his Son in Law and his friend, I will miss him.

Thank you Bob for your service to this country and your family, may you forever be at peace.

Thanks Bruno for a very poignant post. Jcleppe sorry for your family's loss, hopefully he was able to see his grandson commissioned.

This a.m. I marched with my boys in the annual Memorial Day parade with their Boy Scout troop to the local Legion. We have done this for the last 10 plus years. Every year the number of participants, and spectators decreases. Very sad.
