Their websites say it's Oct 3rd before 5:00PM, but so did Jon Ruyan's. I called his office and they told me its actually November 1st, and I've heard that many senators do it then as well.

So when are the nomination apps due?

It depends on every senator and representative. My senator's were due on the same day and then my Rep's was due a week later. It depends, so if there is any confusion, call the specific office in question.

Why risk it? JMPO, but if that is what their website says, that is what I would do. Yes, many websites aren't updated as frequently as they should be, but questions may be misconstrued and the person may give the wrong info out.

For example, what if they were saying that Nov.1st is when the packets will be reviewed. Or what if the person you spoke to just works in the office and answered the phone going off last yrs info.

As cadet115 stated every MOC has their own due date, thus do not assume what 1 sets the other set too. DS had 2 different dates for his 3 MOCs.

I am not sure why you waited so long to get clarification. I also hope that if you do wait until Nov 1st to have it in that you got the name of the person and their title with time and date of this conversation JIC.

It is important to understand MOC noms are like college apps and taxes. If they say this date/time or postmarked this date, they mean it. It doesn't mean on October 4th they will start reviewing and handing out noms, it just means they will no longer accept any additional requests. It can take them weeks to process the applications into their intended SA request, that is why they want them in early. I.E. you ask for AFA/USNA/USMA...they may have to collate your application 3 times. They have to sort them out. Many MOCs at this point may hold a mini-board and determine there if you move forward...not every MOC will interview every applicant, they may determine to interview the finalists. Sen. Burr from NC requested 10/15 when DS went through it, the interview was Jan. 5th, results released 1/28; a long lag time. Our friend from CO, had the same date and had his nom in hand on Nov 12th.

I am shocked at the 10/3 by 5 statement, because most state postmarked by X date, knowing that the mail can be late especially since that is a Monday.

OBTW, if it is indeed 11/1, be smart send it certified/registered signature required receipt.

The 3rd is the date. DS spoke to Menendez's office on thursday, he had to redo his first page and overnight it to arrive on Monday..... Get them in onetime no matter what... Good luck!
