What do you reccomend for incoming cadets to bring for transporting their shower items and shave items back and forth daily? He has tradional small zip bag but wondering if a hanging style would be better. Are their shelves in the shower area to place a sitting bag? Do doolies use shower caddies?

They will provide everything he needs and by everything - that includes everything.

Cadets have sinks in their rooms (though they can shave in the restrooms/showers). Guarantee that hanging out in the restroom shaving is not preferred over shaving in the sink in the room - especially during BCT.

They have limited space for items and the regulation book dictates where everything is stored. He will be fine during BCT with what is provided.

Great, didn't realize there was a sink in their rooms. I was thinking old dorm style where EVERYTHING was in one area. His current shave bag will work then! Thanks again.

The Cadet will need to bring their own toiletries and such. Gold Bond is a must have as well.
Not sure about about the didty bag.
Good question.

If you mean bring their own toiletries from home - not true. They are issued all that stuff at the start of BCT. Not that they can't use their own stuff, but they don't need to bring it with them.

Much better than getting in service dress, take 8 right turns, greet 27 upperclassman just to reach the bathroom to take a piss. It’s easy to clean a sink
100% the same in the Corps at A&M. One trip to take a leak might end up in a 30 minute hallway smoke session...at least back in "the day".

From the appointee handbook:
ToiletriesMales and females are required to bring with them the following items: bar soap (in a closing soapcontainer) or liquid shower body wash, lip balm of your choice, toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, deodorant, and shampoo of your choice. We recommend you NOT bring the extra-large containers ofthese items because you will have an opportunity to visit the cadet store during BCT. Males are requiredto bring a razor, blades, and shaving cream or an electric shaver. Females should bring menstrual careproducts that may be required. All cosmetics will be collected upon arrival and returned at the end ofBCT. When packing your toiletries, be sure to follow Transportation Security Administration’s (TSAs)Rules on Liquids at the link https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security- screening/liquids-rule. If you dobring liquids larger than 3 oz., be aware that you will need to pack them in checked luggage insteadof a carry-on. Note: The Cadet Store takes debit and credit cards as well as cash.
