Hello
Any input if taking medicines for menstrual cramps will disqualify a candidate? Example birth control pills or strong prescription anti inflammatories like Anaprox (a prescription form of advil)
Thank you

Taking birth control pills or strong anti inflammatories like Anaprox is not disqualifying. But, it is the underlying condition that is really what you should be asking about. When you fill out your medical history form how are you going to answer 79. Been treated for a female disorder, painful periods, or cramps? What is your explanation? When you got the prescription for Anaprox, what was the medical diagnosis? Was it dysmenorrhea? The standard for dysmenorrhea is:
d. Current dysmenorrhea (625.3) that is unresponsive to medical therapy and is incapacitating to a degree recurrently requiring absences of more than a few hours from routine activities.
Current is typically defined as occurred in the past 6 months. A few hours is no more than three hours absence from routine activities each cycle. Also note that all past (more that 6 months ago) is qualified.

If dysmenorrhea or just painful menstrual periods. If true, a good response would state that you take anti inflammatories and the condition does not interfere with your normal activities.
