Will USNA call to inform you of an offer of appointment? Or is that just your MOC if they elect so?

I think it just depends. I just posted a thread about this because I was called about an hour ago by my moc to relay the news

I posted elsewhere just the other day --
USNA notifies the MOC first, and gives them a couple of days to give the news. After a few days, USNA notifies directly.
It is essentially giving MOC the first opportunity as a courtesy (and good political move).
