DS just received letter via snail mail yesterday that he has been nominated by Congressman Bishop MI-08 to USNA and USMA. No email, no phone call, and it has not appeared yet on his portals with either academy. I imagine this will occur after the 1st of the year. No indication in the letter reference ranking, and per the congressman's website it appears he uses competitive ranking method. So I guess it's wait and see....??? Still waiting on MI Senator Gary Peters nominations to be released. Based upon what I've read on this forum, it appears he waited until close to the January 31 deadline last year to announce his slate. In the meantime, USNA Admissions board has requested DS' 7th semester grades when they become available. Because his high school's 1st semester does not end until January 18, this won't occur for 3 more weeks. He has a B in AP Calculus, an A in AP English , but a C in AP Physics. How bad is the C going to hurt his chances? Is this a show stopper? I'm worried.
