So I completely misunderstood the scholarship transfer process. Like entirely. For some reason I thought they would send me a letter in April to deal with transfers. Nope that was the applicant who had to do that. I also waited a little bit because I was waiting for school acceptances and wait lists.

Well tonight I sent in my signed and formal request to transfer with the reason of rejection and the letter of acceptance (my other rejection was online and I've been locked out of that account). I told them in there that I had waited because of school acceptances and I misunderstood the process because that's all I can do. So now I guess I just wait and hope.

Anyway I don't think there's anything you guys can do unless you have some anecdotes or experiences with this but take this as an example to understand processes and mark in dates people.

Good luck to you. I also don't know what will happen. I do know that it is always a good thing to involve your ROO at the intended school of transfer. Just give him a heads up and let him know what is going on. If there is something else to be done, he would know.

Yep I emailed him yesterday actually and he's the one that told me I was all messed up and what to do. So I did that and told him what he said to do was all done.

Are you trying to transfer an Army ROTC sholarship? If you sent in the transfer request you should be good to go. Just takes some time for Cadet Command to process it and make a decision.

My DD transferred her scholarship to her other choice school because of the 4/15 deadline, and it was approved by Cadet Command in a week's time. Guess what? She just learned she is off the waitlist at her first school! Can she transfer the scholarship back if she chooses that school? This is stressful stuff!

Hi thanks, sorry I didn't check back in this forum. But yes, I did send in my transfer request except it was past the deadline stated in my packet (deadline was 4/15 I sent mine in 4/23). Since then I've called my ROO and he didn't sound too worried just wanted me to make sure I got everything in so I think I'm right where I need to be right now. Probably panicked a little bit too much but also learned a lesson.

I'm kind of in the same boat! I hear back from a waitlist soon so I might have to transfer back to something else. I agree on the stressful part. But I don't know if I can fully speak for your daughter but it's good to know you're involved too. My mom has helped out alot with some calls and extra emails and following along on college/ROTC process and it's super helpful to not go it alone.
