Military Cell Phone Plans

Cricket fan here. $135/mo for 5 lines for our family, unlimited everything, hotspots available, receptions has been fine for over 10 hrs. Including overseas (via Skippers hack mentioned above).

A single individual plan is $50/mo (in our case they are all on mine as they are gradually reduced to zero… too good of a deal to remove them).

Cricket uses ATT towers. Look for companies ‘no contract’ plans, they are way cheaper. Idk why people use full on contract programs anymore, other than to subsidize a new phone every couple years? But even phones purchased new from Amazon or Apple, for example, are cheaper over all if purchased individually, than contracting. But that’s me.

10 year, happy costumer!! Including both boys at usna/Bancroft.
Hows is cricket at the yard or att for that matter? what is the cricket hack ( skippers.. cant locate it)
I can get a better deal w no contract att bc it includes hot spot and military discount, with cricket i have to add hot spot ( less allowance)_ plus a military discount nevermind the esim thing

My guys have had it on the yard with no issues at all. 4 yrs now for the graduate. I add a hotspot occasionally (you can add and take away) when they want to game (usually a summer month when there). Take it away when they don’t need it.

@Skipper07 mentioned above to get an unlocked phone so you can add a prepaid SIM card overseas.

Not sure the last part of your statement, but we have all 5 of us on one account for 135/mo. Hard to beat that. ATT, unlimited data.

A single plan for cricket, if purchasing their own, is $50/mo.

A hot spot adds 10. And you add/remove it as needed.

No issues at all on the yard.

We always use unlocked phones. do you have 5 phones on ATT or on cricket? if att which plans. ( att has a plan that includes 40 gb 5g hotspot data)

We have 5 on cricket. Which is a non-contract company that USES AT&T towers. So in essence, it’s AT&T service.

Cricket has store fronts. Stop in! It’s a progressively priced program (5th phone is actually free, 4th is 10$ or some other low amount, etc…and why they stay on our plan).

I believe all of the big carriers have non contract plans. It’s a different philosophy surrounding the phone (subsidizing a new one every few years, vs not). IOW, we all purchase our own phones. And keep them. Vs upgrading every year with a more expensive contract plan.

Go in and talk to them. They can explain.

But it’s cheap and no issues with service and we have been customers for 10 yrs. Back then I was paying almost $300/month for our family. No brainer.

Same w us we were verizon then cricket. We are thinking about new att no contract plan because of the 40gb hotspot for DS
We don’t like contracts either and we also buy our own unlocked phones so we are not attached to a carrier contract.

Our family has been on Cricket for ages as well. In far northern MN AT&T used to be the only game in town (actual quote: "Everyone knows you have to use AT&T north of the Laurentian Divide.") But it's been pretty good everywhere we've gone. My DD has had good luck at USCGA with it and she's currently on the Oregon coast for the summer having no problems. We get decent 5G in town but it doesn't appear to be in service at the lake yet despite the online maps claiming otherwise. It's a good deal if you have a lot of lines.
