Does anybody know the minimum/maximum pushups needed for the CFA?

Thank you.

I don't know what the minimum is, but the max is 50 and average is 33.

If a female is just beginning to train for the CFA now, I would say the maximum (or close to it) is definitely attainable if you do pushups almost every day mixed with weight lifting/working on pull ups. I couldn't even do 30 pushups with correct form when I first started training because my sport doesn't involve upper body strength, but for the actual test I was able to max the event with 8 months of training.

Minimums are unknown (I believe the mile is under 8 minutes and under maybe a tiny bit more leniant but don't quote me on that). One quick tip though is get that Pull-Up, one Pull-Up is worth more than maxing out the time for a dead hang.

I would be very careful of discussions of minimums.
What is one person's passing CFA does NOT mean it is YOUR minimum.

Here is a great post: see Christcorp, post #7, especially the last paragraph

So that is why some chance me or reporting CFA thread show alarming low scores but pass. My DD's low CFA bits were 8:18 mile and 36 b-ball, passed for all Academies.

thank you for posting this. While I can see the maximum scores are same as what is published by USMA, I have never seen average scores published. Where did this document come from and how old is it?

It is from the USMA admissions website and is up to date.

Click on the GREEN Link on this official WP page.
Thank you for posting. Yes that is the one I found too but it does not publish averages or minimums. Just the maximum scores, which is all I thought officially the service academies posted for fitness tests. Eastbound has a link above with averages which I do not believe is an official document from West Point Admissions.

The one with averages is likely an outdated one from USMA Admissions still floating around, which may or may not be accurate. The one shown above with the current USMA.edu link is current, but no averages.
