Check your portal pages for Senator Klobuchar's nominations. I found out this morning that I received a nomination from her!
 
DS portal showing up new nom MN62..has to be Klobuchar, since he received letter from Franken saying he did not get nom from him. also has nom from MN06..so we continue to wait...
 
Hello! I am new to this site and a nervous, anxious mom. I was wondering about Senator Klobouchar's nominations as well...can someone please tell me you mean by check DS portal pages? My son has received 2 nominations already but no word from Klobouchar's office yet...Thanks so much!
 
On his online application page you will see the nominations in the lower right hand side.
 
Thank you for your response! And good luck to your family! We are waiting to hear from the USNA, which is the only one my son applied to. I finally had to tell the extended family to stop calling to see if we've "heard anything yet"...just added to the high stress level that is hanging in the air!

Our DS received nominations from Senators Franken and Klobuchar as well as Congressman Paulsen. He received letters from Franken and Paulsen and even got a personal phone call from Paulsen. He never received either from Klobuchar. We only found out through the portal page. Best of luck to your DS.
 
Thanks for the update. I told my son about the nominations being listed in the lower right side of application but he said all academy applications are different so here is my question...on the USNA page it has a section for nominations received and his reads "Congress/Senate 2" and below that lists the one he received from Congressman Kline. Sooo, how do we interpret that? :confused:
 
It could be one of two things.

1. He didn't get the nom

or

2. Every SA has regional directors that are separated by area and alphabetically for the last name.

It may be your regional has yet to get to him re: inputting the nom.

Sen Klobouchar

DD got a navy nom from Sen 1, sen K is senior so she is "sen1".

DD got AF nom from Sen Franken
 
Got my rejection from Sen. Klobuchar yesterday. They sure took their sweet time notifying us, I seem to remember being told we would hear in Jan., and it's March now... but I shouldn't complain because engineer's right, one is all it takes
 
Thanks HopeNeverHurts for the info...it is interesting how each of the noms handle their notifications (!)...to date, we have not received rejection letter from Senator K but if you just received yours then, I suspect, ours is not far behind. BUT, can I assume by your signature you received an appointment to USAAF??? If so, congratulations!!! Is that a good thing? Remember, you can always start at Air Force and then reapply to Navy if that is what you really want...my understanding is that sometimes it takes more than one attempt to receive an appointment to desired academy. And there is always the old adage..when one door closes, another opens! We know many kids who are at Air Force and absolutely love it! I wish you the best of luck on your journey and thank you for your desire to serve!

As a parent, I am so impressed and humbled by all of you! The Class of 2015 is truly an amazing group of young men and women. Let me know where you land!!
