Missed January 15th USAFA Deadline Due to the Death of a Family Member

Hello everyone. I appreciate all of your constructive responses. I just wanted to clear this case up in the scenario that someone else was put in the same situation as me. The admissions office sometimes offers deadline extensions for extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis, and the passing of a loved one in my case ended up being qualified as an extenuating circumstance. Again, I appreciate all of your constructive criticism. It was a selfish thing to let my loss get in the way of pursuing a goal, ultimately leading me to request a deadline extension. This forum certainly humbled me, and in hopes of becoming a leader in the armed forces, I need to expect these things to happen and stay level headed.
