I know each MOC can only have up to 5 candidates in each academy at a time and we have been thinking why would they let them nominate someone if they had no spaces available. Would that be a reason of not get appointed ? I spoke to another candidate who was given a nomination by the same MOC as me and he is also CPR Just curious and figured I would ask. Thanks in advance

You have a nomination. That is only one piece of the puzzle needed to receive an Offer of Appointment. If indeed you receive an Offer of Appointment, your nomination may not even be charged to that MOC who nominated you.
Don't worry about the nomination, in other words. That boxed is checked off.

MOCs can nominate up to 10 candidates for each of their vacancies. Thus, you and the other candidate you mentioned can certainly have noms from the same MOC. In my district, they have had well over 20 candidates for USNA apply so just getting one of the ten noms is not an insignificant thing.
