MOC nomination

The secretary of my local congressman has been very helpful and kept me updated on my application. I submitted my application a month ago and then learned that the deadline was extended by a month. Since the deadline was lengthened I want to email her and ask when I should expect to hear back about a nomination. Would this be seen as too pushy or impatient?

In terms of the timeline, in my experience a change like this would warrant some curiosity as to how if affects you. I've had the same experience with my MOCs staff, very helpful, and I don't think there's a problem with it.
