MOC or MOS

Do most MOC post something on the web or press release about who they nominate? Can't find anything here in TX. Or do they wait and see who is appointed and ultimately accepts appointment to the SA's?

SRHSMOM: Call the MOC and ask them if it is a competitive slate or has a principal nomination or what! They will tell you. Just tell them you are trying to understand more about the process!

Congratulations!! :groupwave:

It's up to the individual MOC. If your MOC is out the door, my guess is that he/she won't be making any public pronouncements. If not, it varies by MOC. Some post it on their websites. Some include it in one of their constituent update mailings. Some post everyone to whom they gave a nom; some just who accepted. Entirely up to them.

If you don't see it posted anywhere, AND your MOC is still in office come Feb. 1 (the day after the noms are due), you might call the MOC's office and ask if a list is posted somewhere.

jennyp - this varies widely by MOC and by region. Our MOC does nothing. Neither do any other MOC's in our area - (our county has 4 US Reps!).
Some issue press releases and others hold receptions.

For DS, his cong, did release a press release or reception. 1 Senator issued a press release and 1 had a reception. The only thing they all do is send a letter stating you were nominated.

Actually - they don't all send a letter if you got a nom, though most probably do ... my D got a nom from both our Rep & a principal nom from one of our Senators. The Senator never notified her, no letter, no call, no press release, no web page listing - zero. But from the time the nom showed up on the web page (both our rep and senator submitted their list on Jan 31st though they both had interviews almost two months earlier) it was less than a week for her appointment to come - with a principal the SA doesn't have to do much other than send out the appointment.
