Our local area has a parent's group that is hosting mock nomination interviews (super cool that they do this). Should DS bring resume or any other documents to the interview presented in a clean folder? Thanks in advance for any input.

It may be a mock interview, but you should treat it like a real interview. Because the point is to practice, right? So clean up, dress up and buck up.

Oh this kid likes to dress well, for interviews. I think he was picking out ties last night for Monday's NROTC interview. He competed in interview for FBLA and has interviewed for multiple positions he has been selected for. He felt good about his WP and BGO interviews. Really it is likely how much this matters to him that might give him the jitters. I will convey your buck up advice, thank you!

Practice for an interview is good, but unless the people on the panel have actual experience on an MOC panel, not sure the questions/answers will be of any real value. Your son should approach it the same way as the real thing, but realize it may/may not be like the actual one.

Good advice. I vaguely remember meeting the gentlemen who organized this (at an academy seminar). I think he said several people had panel experience but I know that panels change year to year. Of all the interviews he has done so far (BGO, FFO, City Youth Council, Student Council, FBLA competition interviews etc) he said yesterday's NROTC was by far the most difficult. I will just try to remember to not get nervous as mom and make him nervous. :)
