Hello all! My DS is a senior in HS. From a young boy, he wanted to join the army. We did not assist him with this dream, and there for he did not start the USMA in time. He has now decided to pursue the AROTC. His application for scholarship is up for review of the board next month  He just received his denial to his first choice, Lehigh::frown:: His interview was done at Lehigh, and I am now confused how to proceed. Does he reach out to the other schools he has applied to, the ROTC contact person, to introduce himself? Am I correct to assume that if he receives a scholarship, it goes to any of the schools he is accepted at? I hope you will all bear with me as we are very unfamiliar with this process. Thank you

I have no idea concerning your question, but you may want to post your question on the ROTC thread, to get an answer.

Welcome!

The scholarship is NOT good for any school of his choice - if he is given a scholarship it will most likely be to ONE or two schools on his list.

He has to get into the school itself separately. If he wants to transfer his scholarship to a different school, there is a process (I hear a tricky one) to do so.

I hope I answered your question, haha.

There are tons of answers to your questions in the ROTC forum. I highly recommend checking it out - I was spared a lot of headaches by reading over there!
