I mentioned yesterday on another thread that dd received an early commission scholarship offer. She needs to accept or decline this offer by January 15 and her gut is telling her to turn it down and wait to see if one of her two more preferred offers comes (either an apt to USNA or NAPS, or a four year scholarship from AROTC so she can attend Norwich).
My question is this. Does anyone know if this early commission offer means she is not particularly competitive for the four year scholarship? Or, if she declines the offer and goes back into the pool of applicants for January selection, might the fact that they have offered her this mean she has a pretty good chance of being offered the four year to Norwich?
