More AirForce Sexual Abuse

If true, his actions were criminal and thus reflect poorly on the AF.
The "You've got to be () kidding me!" sentiment was pretty universal where I work.

This has all the makings of a political disaster...

How do we keep getting these guys in places like this? Sigh...

Maureen Dowd

Well, now it's the subject of a Maureen Dowd column. Good grief! And the CSAF didn't fair well in the Senate hearing today. At least two Senators laid into him. I'm assuming they only used the more memorable quotes and more Senators actually piled on. I don't imagine Bullet's briefing went well after that (see the other, since closed, thread on this topic).

Ha Kinnem! Its too bad the senate won't do the same with each other and their other DC counterparts. Do as I say not as I do... Oh well, at least CSAF had better quotes than all of them and showed em that Air Force greatness is just as good even better than civ legal system. This still looks like a drunken public place issue than what his current charge.

How does this look like public intoxication? The man groped a woman (her buttocks, and breasts). Looking at the picture of his face, as a woman, I would think it wasn't just a pinch. He had to be up close and personal for quite some time before she got off enough hits to do that damage. Most women don't come up with left and right hooks right off the bat. Claws typically come out when they won't knock it off after the 1st HEY, KNOCK IT OFF!

JMPO, as a woman.

As Bullet said on the other thread he is also probably looking at charges in the AF, such as assault and probably conduct unbecoming of an officer. In uniform or not, you are military 24/7/365 days a yr. he may get punished in the civilian courts, but he may also than go to Leavenworth after that for the AF's punishment. I would assume that they will want to make an example out of him and not sweep this under the rug.

They couldn't sweep this under the rug even if they wanted to, what with everything else going on in this area recently. This guy will be made an example of.

Pima, I bet Bullet is hearing from the JA that the perception that AF may want to make an example out of him, that Sec Def publicly stated that he will be prosecuted to the full extent etc. is making for a strong defense against the AF case. "Your honor my client is already convicted by AF leadership, he can't get a fair trial under UCMJ". Maybe the victim had tripped and my client was trying to help her up and inadvertently grabbed the wrong part in a valiant attempt to help. " or some other defense claim.

The AF can't win on this one. A sad story, given all of our work with health and wellness inspections, ridding the squadron of doofer books, my favorite song book etc. We still come up short in the public eye. And this guy getting off on a technicality would be worse public relations.

JA will advise that they play it very carefully. I'd let civil authority try him for assault and If found guilty I'd prosecute for conduct unbecoming an officer. Don't know the extent of punishment for that but it would provide top cover to have a civil prosecution. Unfortunate but likely necessary in this case.

The latest story on this case - the "female" that the Lt. Col. allegedly grabbed was actually a male in drag, who after being groped beat the Lt. Col. down big time (hence the cuts and bruises on his face in his mug shot) in the parking lot of a well known gay bar in Crystal City.

And here I thought he 'resisted arrest.'

People laugh at how unrealistic soap operas on TV are, but I bet they wouldn't even do a story line like this because they wouldn't even think it is believable.

It just gets weirder by the minute.

The guy was in drag? How come he didn't give Romeo an encouraging kiss for his interest?

Is that for sure public Luigi?

I didn't want to bring it up at the time, but I thought of it. I watched the news that night, it had video of the sidewalk near a bar. I noticed 'rainbow flags' in front of the bar and thought - umm, wait a minute, lol.

I still stick to my last post for charging it as a drunken rage not sexual assault. I think there is more to this evening for the people involved that the rest of us that were not there will never know. I agree of course with Pima he shouldn't be in the AF with this action - 'unbecoming'. Heck if he was a Congress, pres, or civil service employee he shouldn't be kept on - but we all know that consequence won't happen.

Any reports on just how the LtC was dressed? Perhaps this was a 'slappy fight?'

I believe normal dress. He had a tshirt on in the mug-shot. (I'm standing by my drunken-state for him. As Kinnem says, nothing good happens when drinking. I think his superior officers understand that)

I surely agree with Kinnem. I've told my kids more than they care to hear that the very best outcome with drinking is a neutral. That is, 'nothing bad/ negative happened.' A positive outcome is not possible.

Good grief. Can this get any stranger?

"Sexual battery" charges against Lt.Col. Krusinski have been dropped.

Civilian prosecutor claims that a generic assault charge is more appropriate.

An inebriated Krusinski was arrested by Arlington County, Va. cops in May after a "female" complained the Air Force officer had grabbed her boobs and behind.

There is still some question about the exact gender of the "victim," as a gay bar that featured cross-dressers is located a short distance from where Krusinski was nabbed in a parking lot.
