More rated slots?

I saw this on baseops.net so I wanted to ask it here too. So with more and more EA's being released for 2015 FT, what do you think the chances are of more FY16 rated slots being given out?

Unrelated imo, ROTC EA's and UPT slots are 2 totally different worlds. UPT is based off space available. Who knows, best of luck.

Zero is right impo.

UPT bases unless they pump up Instructor Pilots and air frames can only pump out so many students a year.

On top of that it is not just UPT. It is the airframe school house too.

Well I was just curious. My cadre the other day sent an email stating that AFROTC/HQ needed to know if I had a PPL, which I thought was odd since I was not selected.

Are you going up for the supplemental board, or were you an alternate?

I would not read anything more into it, than they are updating your records.

It really is a pipeline issue. If I recall correctly the AF can wing @1200 a year (330 ea. Vance, Columbus, Laughlin and @190 ENJJPT).
~ @550 out of USAFA, 400 ROTC, leaves @200 OCS and xtraining within the rated community (i.e. an F15E CSO/ RPA/ABM).

I'm on the alternate list.

Than that is probably why.

Not that they are going to award it tomorrow, but there are many cadets that do not pass the FC1 at WPAFB. If your flight hours have changed than your PCSM could change too. Hence, that could change your OOM on the alternate list.
~ My assumption, but I would think all alternates were asked the same thing. If 200 +/- are on the alternate than it is going to come back to the most current PCSM, and if a few months ago you didn't have a PPL, but now have one, the PCSM will change even by a fraction, and that fraction could be the make or break on the OOM.

I am going to be honest. Our DSs friend was alternate. Picked up 6-9 weeks prior to commissioning for RPA. Hence my comment of don't expect tomorrow.

Always hope for the best.
