I'll be moving to a new high school in a different state for my senior year, and I'm wondering, should I wait until I get involved with the extracurriculars there before I fill out and submit my Candidate Activity Record form? Or should I submit now and update it after a couple months in at my new school?

Also, besides updating my address and making the necessary contact with new Field Force Reps and nomination sources, is anything else you would recommend I do to make sure I don't lose or mess up anything by moving?

As you have mentioned, research your nomination application strategy for the new state, check submission deadlines for Senators and Representative there.

Be sure you ask your teachers at old school for their personal contact info (they may not check school email over summer) and get your required evaluators briefed and organized while you are still in the area. There are many best practices tucked away in posts here about providing complete instructions, your resume, USMA info, etc., everything the evaluator needs to complete their end of things. Ditto guidance counselor, have a good relationship there.

Get contact info for all your medical providers before leaving the area, in case you need to contact them for records during the medical review process. You may need to consult your parents about providers you may not remember for any major childhood diagnoses, injuries, illness. A good practice to know all that whether you are moving or not.

As soon as you know exact date and new address, contact Admissions or other POC to let them know to update your candidate record.

Smart move to strategically plan ahead.
