Asking for our friend's daughter who wants to apply after watching my DS apply and be accepted to the USAFA. She, through parents' change in job location, has to move this summer to a new state. She will be a senior in the fall. We're assuming that she needs to apply for Nominations from the three Congressional members in the new state. Anyone experienced this or have tips for her? Thank you.

Get on their websites and find the proper material. This is not unheard of and the usual requirements of recommendation letters,
etc can be done with people from her old school and hometown that know her.

Yes, MOC Noms from the new state. Also apply for a VP Nom, and any others that she may be eligible for. How she manages the change of HS and States may be a subject for interviews and or essays. Being able to take on new challenges such as this is a positive trait.

Have her talk to her current high school's math and English teachers before she leaves, asking if they'd be willing to do her recommendations since she won't have a relationship built at the new school yet.
Excellent thing to do.

and make sure she lets them know they are evaluations, not traditional letters of recommendation. She will need their school emails and phone numbers for that part of the application. Hopefully, they will provide point of contact information outside of the school year.

One thing to keep in mind for the actual SA application is that they do require transcripts from each High school attended. DD had to contact previous high schools to get transcripts, e-mailing them (and copying her admissions contact) and following up multiple times before it was sent over to the admissions team. One piece of advice would be to start requesting that information early from schools, since in order to have those checked off in the application, it will require multiple schools to follow through with the request. Perhaps it was difficult for DD because schools were working remotely/odd hours with covid, but it was a lot of follow-up on her part to get it sent in.
