Hello all,

I'm currently in my AS200 (sophomore) year of AFROTC. I've been stuck in the DoDMERB pipeline since Nov 2022. I was awarded an EA a little over a week ago contingent on getting an MMS thumbs up / waiver granted from DoDMERB. However, if I don't achieve this by the "drop date" my commander has set (which I am assuming is mid April, maybe sooner), I will have my EA revoked and be dropped from the program. I've been under waiver review for the past 3.5 months.

I spoke to my cadre and got the greenlight to reach out to Mr. Mullen in hopes he could help, since there is nothing else cadre can do on their end. I understand he has been inactive since the DoDMERB maintenance in early January, but I was hoping he could help me as he's done in the past. I reached out around a week ago, but I have not heard back yet. Does anyone know if he is still responding to emails? If not, any ideas on what I can do aside from sit still and cross my fingers?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

I’m sorry I don’t have any advice regarding Mr. Mullen. At what point are you stuck in the pipeline? Have you been able to contact your DoDMERB technician?

Apologies for the delayed response. I've been in "under waiver review" status since 24 Jan. Although I have 3 disqualifications, I haven't been DQ'd / needed to submit a waiver appeal. I've had 4 AMI requests sent to me since Jan, most recently on 10 March. I have been in contact with my technician, and he stated the following:

"The information that was requested by the waiver authority was submitted for their review 3/10. DoDMERB has no interaction with the waiver authority on how long they may take to review and make a decision. Your Detachment leadership is able to reach out to the waiver authority on your behalf and ask questions regarding your status with them."

I informed my cadre of what he said, but they said there isn't any way for them to contact the waiver authority. I'm not sure what to do at this point; I have less than a month to receive a waiver before I'm dropped.

Thank you for the help!
