Multiple nominations, same Academy...

My son just received his third Academy nomination today which we are obviously thnakful for. All three MOC's nominated him for his first choice which is USNA.

From a practicality standpoint however, I can't quite see where that will be of any actual benefit. In fact, it sort of feels like all eggs are now squarely in one basket. USAF was also on my sons radar screen, but since they asked him to rank them he listed them second.

Is there any benefit to having three to one Academy? Should we investigate contacting one of the MOC's academy coordinator about the possibility of switching one to USAFA?

Thoughts?

Name

Coltdad, either you sons name is Colten, Colton, or Colt or you all are Indianapolis Colts fans. How did I do? Just have to ask. My DS's name is Colten and we live in the Indy area are and, of course, are Colts fans!

Basically it gives your son more opportunities for an appointment. If you have three from different sources, such as Presidential, JROTC and Congressional for example, your son competes against people with the same nominations. So essentially, you have three different chances, three different categories to be put upon. I guess if you're confident enough, you could change it to USAFA if they would do that for you.
