Multiple Nominations

Here's some advice, my DS really wanted USAFA, so he put that as his first choice for all his nominations, he received nominations from our two Senators and 1 from his MOC, a hat-trick, great right? Not really, all for the USAFA, he didn't get an appointment. Moral of this story, don't put all your eggs in one SA basket, spread the wealth, he had many positive conversations and invitations to WP and from the USNA, who knowns what would've happen if he received nominations to those two.

Yes. Easier in a district without many candidates.

Obviously you can get different SAs from different nominating sources. My son got two from the same representative… despite only applying to one.
My DS was "strongly encouraged" to add a third SA to his MOC application (two days before the interview) by a staffer if he was "at all" interested in that Academy. He already had two listed on his application. We are assuming they had very few, if any, requests for that SA this cycle. We are typically a competitive district but it seems applications for nominations may be down across the board. Interview was last Saturday, and he hasn't heard yet, which, if any, actual Nominations he received.
