If a candidate is fortunate enough to receive a NOM from both the rep & senator, would they both show up on the portal? Are they ranked? Does a Principal NOM from the rep outweigh a senior senator competitive NOM? OR does the SA only post the NOM that is being charged?

I don't have access to the portal but both noms should show up, at least they used to. There is no ranking. A rep's nom doesn't outweigh a senators nom, but a principal nom does in the sense that for WP anyway, it guarantees an offer if the applicant is 3Q, and passes DoDMERB. Noms are not posted until the MOC submits their slate and slates are not due until Jan 31. Knowing you have a nom doesn't mean the MOC has submitted their slate yet. The academies don't decide how they are charging the nominations until much later in the process, even after an offer of acceptance. Hope this helps.

Two years ago, all of the nominations would show up on the portal. Usually by the Senator's nomination, it will have a 1 or a 2 by it, which indicates if you got the nomination from the senior senator (1) or the junior senator (2). Next to the Congressman's nomination, it will usually show the district number. My DS had 3 nominations to WP (SEN, REP, PRES) and to this day, he still does not who his appointment was charged to. He could request to see his official files at WP now and it would be indicated in there, but he hasn't done that yet. We are assuming that he wasn't charged to the REP, though, as there is another cadet in his class from our district and he did not get a Senator Nomination. But even there, the other cadet could have been charged to the VP or come out of the national pool.
