My DD was on the waitlist for the Class of 2024. She had the opportunity to discuss her application with Captain Freddie after the waitlist closed and he mentioned opportunities to pursue her love of singing and drama if she were chosen upon reapplication this year. He referred to a talents questionnaire on the website but we cannot seem to find it. Can anyone help or offer information on being recruited for music?

My son is a band kid and we found out about this when he went to the Cadet for a Day program. He met with the band director while he was there and then sent him his band “resume”. I don’t remember a talents questionnaire either, but it might have been part of the application I didn’t see. Your daughter can find the director of music under cadet life on the website and email him. I’m sure he can help her. The stats sheet provided for the class of 2024 does identify “16 rated performing artists” right under the 136 recruited athletes.

There's not a "questionnaire" on the website for music/performing arts, like there is for NCAA sports at https://uscgasports.com/information/recruiting, but contact information for the Director of Cadet Bands and Director of Vocal Music is available at https://www.uscga.edu/music-and-drama/ or you can contact your Admissions Officer and they'll put you in touch with the appropriate staff members.
