NAPS offers 2022

Congratulations to all that have accepted to NAPS! Did any of you receive an LOA first? My DD received an LOA yesterday and is absolutely ecstatic (we all are)! Her application went from "pending review" to "LOA," so it was a huge shock. Now she's just waiting for DoDMERB to review/process her AMI packet so the waiver process can begin.

LOA is typically used to tell the candidate that they’re assured of offer of appointment to USNA, once all requirements are met. At least on SAF, have never seen a case of LOA being sent for NAPS. Doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened — or would happen — but just haven’t seen it here. Of course, things do change and YMMV.

Yeah, we definitely weren't expecting it. DD's email states that it's an LOA for NAPs (pending medical) - the portal reflects the same.

Info from the NAPS page of the USNA website. I also confirmed with the NAPS staff via email and confirmed that direct entry reports on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, with the specific time to be sent via separate cover/email.

DD got the offer to NAPS yesterday. Immediately accepted it. What NAPS 24 groups are there?

My DS portal updated to “NAPS- Conditional Offer (LOA)”

But there isn’t a way to “accept” or any instructions.

He later received an email that says “you’ve been appointed to NAPS” but still no way to accept.

Can you tell us what steps you took/followed? Do we have to wait for the formal notice in the mail? Was there a timeline/deadline to respond?

Contact your Admissions Officer for clarification.

If it is an actual LOA, once the conditions are met, he will see a button choice to accept or reject. But if the LOA conditions are not met, they will not have that available.

Thank you for the response. My assumption is this is linked to his being flagged for shin splints and the waiver needs to finish being processed. He has sent an email to admissions...
