NASS any minute now

I hear that next week is spring break at the academy. Does that mean we probably won't hear anything until after the March 22nd?

The NASS application is still open. It doesn't close until 1 April. Two years ago (when the application closing date was 15 March), many members of this forum, including my daughter, posted regarding their NASS notifications starting within a few days AFTER the application closed. Thus, it seems highly likely that many notifications will not happen until close to the application closing date this year. If it is similar to two years ago, many notifications are likely to go out around 1-8 April.

Thanks for the opinions GONAVYMOM, i signed up for weeks 1 and 2 but not three because I am taking four regents that week....Ugh. I would have to agree with you about long island being competitive because my friend applied to Army with a 1360 out of 1600 on his SAT and he was ranked 51 out of 300 and he got denied.

Does anyone know how competitive Florida is, specifically central Florida, in attending NASS? I just have no idea on this sort of subject. I am anxiously awaiting every day when the mail comes (it IS received by letter, yes? That's what I heard.)

Last year, they emailed me saying I had been accepted, and then mailed me a letter with all of the required forms.

Is Central Wisconsin a very competitive spot? I'm really frustrated because I want to attend all the academy's summer seminar but I'm going out for track and the state meet is the same time as the first sessions.

No. Although I guess it depends on where you are, but I think other than the districts around Milwaukee (not downtown Milwaukee) and Madison, most of the rest is not. What district are you in? In general in this area, AF is the most popular, then Navy, then WP (for admissions - I don't know about summer seminar but would guess it would be similar). I heard this year though that for 2014 AF applications were down and Navy's were up - not sure why.

I'm in Wisconsin's 7th District. It's pretty big but not the most populated. One of my buddies is waiting to hear about West Point SLS.
