Hello all, I recently got the good news that I got an offer to attend NASS session three. I am beyond excited! I just wanted to ask a question on how I can prepare physically. Should I only practice the CFA or are there other workouts I should do in order to be ready for NASS? Any advice is appreciated.

I am attending NASS as well, and I think it is most important it be in great shape. Running, and lifting are absolutely important but overall if you are in great shape you will be able to perform well. Just my opinion though.

Thanks so much, hope to see you there!

@WD1 said it well. Be in good shape. OK if you’re not in great shape. Do the CFA as a benchmark. Then go home, work out really hard, and do it again for real. Many NASS attendees do just that.

Agreed with @MidCakePa that the CFA at NASS is a great way to just get your bench mark and you will have a good portion of the summer to really train the areas of improvement. I just trained for the CFA leading up to NASS and I did not encounter any issues with fitness. One thing I can recommend is get use to waking up at 5am, workout, and having a full day in front of you all week. If you are in CFA shape, you will be able to tackle the PEP intros without much issue. However, what I remember most was being completely exhausted most of the time. Especially since you are session 3, you will be used to sleeping in without an alarm and the 5am wake ups will seem even worse.
