If I am flying to NASS, how will transportation to and from the academy work? I know it says online that mids pick you up but can someone who did it last year give me a rundown on how it goes?

Miss will meet you at BWI and you'll be transported to the Yard on busses. All very well orchestrated.

You'll get all the info you need. USNA is a well-oiled machine with NASS. Doesn't mean it's perfect, but you'll know what you need to know.

If you accept, will they give you more information about where to go to find them, etc?
Did not go to NASS but I have done Other Summer Activities at the USNA. The will legitimately pick you up at you gate and it is impossible to miss them. In summer whites the stand out very well.

Also, Baltimore airport isn’t huge. Very user friendly. Absolutely nothing to worry about.

Yes, it's very straight forward. Get your bag and look for the Mid/Mids. They will get you on a bus with others and head to the Yard.

After I arrived last year, I went to get my bag from the baggage claim. You will see many Midshipmen walking around. You can't miss them.
Just approach one of them and they will direct you to where you need to go. After being taken to a waiting room with many others, we were loaded onto a bus and off to Annapolis we went!

Have fun and make sure to get in great shape so that you do well on your CFA! It's a great feeling knowing that you won't have to retake the CFA in the fall or winter.

One thing to remember, if you are traveling alone, many hotels will not rent to a person under 21. My son flew alone, age 17, and did great in the airport. He arrived the night before, got his bag, and took a free shuttle to a near by hotel. I had spoken to the hotel manager earlier in the week who assured me he would be fine and allowed to stay. The same manager turned him away as he arrived and asked him to walk across the interstate to a Red Roof Inn. I called said manager and pled my case. Once he realized my son was there for NASS, he said as long as he showed him the official invitation from USNA, he could stay. (He said he didn't ever have trouble with the USNA crowd.) I chose the Holiday Inn because it had an onsite restaurant and as very close to the airport. DS still decided to walk about a mile to a Chilis. He got a great nights rest, was up and took the free shuttle back to the airport where he EASILY found lots of mids in white with signs. He got on the bus and was taken to USNA. EASY! One thing we read that we were glad we did....wait until later in morning to go because once you get to USNA, you are in the hot sun playing sports until 2pm. He would have been exhausted if he had gone early and the CFA is the following day. Hope this helps someone!
