I submitted my NASS application in the first few days and am worried because I haven't received my acceptance. When I try to log in to the portal for Summer Seminar, it says it has nothing to do with my email and it doesn't recognize it, when I request a password reset, nothing sends to my email. Is anyone having the same problems? Is there anyone who has received their acceptance that has this same problem? Due to these circumstances, I'm starting to believe my submission never went through. Should I re-submit my application? I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Thanks, everyone.

Did you get a confirmation email that you applied to NASS? My ds got one after from "USNA Admissions" after he submitted the application. FWIW, his login doesn't work anymore either but I assume that's because he has already submitted his application and there is no more need for that portal.

Not everyone will get accepted into NASS. A lot more people apply than there are slots. My oldest did not get accepted 2 years ago (and was appointed to both SAs to which he applied) and my 2nd ds has not been accepted yet. Don't read a lot into it.

Don’t get dispirited if you don’t get an invite to NASS … keep working hard and when it’s time to start your application for real … complete everything in a quality and timely manner.

Once you submit NASS application, you can’t login again. That’s normal, I learned. My DS was recently accepted to NASS.

I never received a confirmation email. Do you think it's worth the shot applying again? Will I be notified that I wasn't accepted?

You will be notified if you aren't accepted. You might try emailing them before you reapply.

I didn’t receive a confirmation email upon completion of my NASS application as well, and I was accepted into NASS. The only sort of confirmation I got was immediately after, when I submitted the application, the page said that it had received my application but that’s about it. The only email sent to me from the Academy was a sports questionnaire since I checked off a box about interest in playing varsity sports at the Academy.

To my knowledge, this is the first batch of acceptances for NASS. My advice is to just trust the application process, if you don’t get NASS don’t fret, I know Mids who got rejected/waitlisted for NASS. One of my friends just recently got an appointment for Navy and was waitlisted for NASS last year.

If you really believe that your application didn’t come through, email admissions about the situation, but if you submitted your application, you submitted it.

Thanks. I just checked my email and I did receive the Sports Questionnaire as well, which shows my application did go through. I will patiently wait and hope for the best.

Does anyone know when they stop sending out letters of acceptance to NASS? Would it be foolish to submit my application again?

There would be no reason to resubmit your application if you already did it. On the website, it states that they will let you know by April 15th.

What if I were to submit a better application than my first one?

I do not think sending Navy another application is a great idea, even if you were able to send another application. You will be notified of your NASS status by April, and don’t fret if you haven’t got accepted yet, they are still rolling out acceptances.

How would you make another application better? Have you taken harder classes, improved your GPA, gotten an award, been given a leadership role? What achievements have you made since the last application only weeks ago?

My advice, don't worry(this coming from a worrier). I attended an informational session a few months back where there was a panel of about 6 midshipman. When asked how many of them had attended SS, only 1 of the 6 had. Improve your USNA application going forward if you felt it was not strong enough.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking by making my essay response questions better I'd be able to improve it. I agree that it's best to leave it how it is.
