I am enlisted in the national guard at the moment. I want to become a marine officer. Is this all possible once my guard contract is up?

It is possible. Go talk with a Marine OSO. They are responsible for Marine Officer programs. Do you have your degree? Get familiar with the Marine PFT standards and be ready to crush it. 285+ is the expectation for a USMC officer, especially while at OCS.

To add on to Navy Hoops comment, yes it is possible. Had a few priors from different branches at my PLC class. Probably going to have to show your DD214 when applying. PFT is important, strive for the highest to make your package competitive and to do well in PLC or OCC.

It's very, very possible once your National Guard contract is up & you've gotten your bachelor's degree. Before, not so much. Once the Guard has you they don't usually want to let you go.

US Army OCS might want to be a consideration also. But they get the bulk of their 2nd lieutenants through combination of West Point & ROTC. Marines are much more reliant on OCS. Open to anyone with a degree. In anything. Non-STEM majors are okay. Brawn much more of a consideration than brains. Run fast, get strong. Ooh rah.
