July 1st according to the latest gouge I have.
 
July 1 is the date that's in the appointment packet.

Do you know anything about the dates of PPW, Zaphod? I've been hearing Aug 7-9, but that would make Plebe summer only 38 days long which sounds really short. I thought it was supposed to be about 50?
 
Actually, the date range you mention is what I saw, too.

It's not that far off. Back in my day, PPW happened after Week 5 of Plebe Summer, and the summer didn't end until a week after that, so it kinda all jives....
