Naval Academy Inspire Program

I haven’t received this but USNA certainly has my email address as I attended NASS. Can anyone confirm that this invitation is something sent to everyone? Thank you.
okay it might not be the case. DS did not get an invitation for NASS though he really wanted to attend. He was invited for CVW instead.

by the way, the application is just a google form to fill in. In theory everyone can fill the form with the link of this google form

It's an official program. I actually was approved to be an attendee this November (Nov 11-13 weekend) so I can provide any information from a candidate's perspective on it if it's wanted.
I was just invited to apply for the Inspire Program and attend in late October! I would love some more information about it and maybe learn a little about how selective it is. Does every candidate receive an invite? How many candidates apply and then get selected? Do you have any other thoughts than the ones you've provided in response to other posts? Thank you

My DS, just got the invite. He did complete his application and actually attended the Inspire program in May. I wonder if he has mistakenly received another invite? Has anyone else who previously attended Inspire received this invite? Thank you.
DD also got the invite today and she did attend the inspire program in May. She’s not planning to apply for it again because she wants to give the spot to other candidates who haven't had the opportunity to attend the inspire program.

I mistyped the month - it was at the end of March, not May.

RedRaider, thank you for the info, and congrats. My DS is Class of 2027 Lima-22. How long was the wait between when you replied/submitted your application for Inspire and then received any communication from USNA? I understand there is an interview at some point, but was there any other communication before that?

I mistyped the month - the inspire program was in March 30-April 1, 2023.

So around mid of January when DD got the invite to apply for Inspire Program which held on March 30-April 1, 2023. A couple weeks after she replied to the email to accept the invite, she received an email with a link to set up a date for a zoom interview where she would have to attend it with one parent.

She had an interview around the first week of February. DD mentioned that it was more like a conversation rather than a formal interview and it was very short (no more than 15 mins).

In mid February, she received good news. We were told that there were approximately 330 applicants and they picked 100 -150 candidates for the program.

It took a few weeks for DD to receive instruction to upload the paperwork. She waited until March 20th to received flight information via email for both her dad and herself.

It was an amazing experience for both my DD and husband. She loved it. She also had an opportunity to attend NASS and SLE this summer. DD mentioned that it was challenging physically and mentally since it’s so different from civilian life but she learned a lot about herself and it solidified her desire to attend a service academy. She also had an opportunity to meet so many like-minded and high achieving people which inspires her to work harder.

Thank you for the information. My DD attended the USAFA Summer Seminar and their Aim High Flight Academy for 21 days this summer, so she missed the NASS. She is excited at the chance to possibly attend the Inspire program. Based on what you shared with us, we will wait and see how the Inspire Progam unfolds for her. Thanks again.
