Naval Academy Summer Seminar 2009

I got my acceptance email monday but I hope I can go...working on talking to my high school now :)

me and a buddy of mine, who lives in the same county, were selected to attend session 1.
I just have a few questions before i take off for NASS next weekend.
Do they permit cellphone use anytime during the week?
Should we bring our own water or water bottles?

Yes, we were allowed to use our cell phones- but no one did until the evening time. Also in Bancroft hall reception is not great my roommate and I had to crouch up against the window in order to get a bar of reception and if we moved an inch the call was dropped :)... made for some really interesting positions :)... lol
And they gave us "indestructable" water bottles :)
 
any future plebers coming from massachusetts or texas to session 1? If so, shoot me a PM
 
Session Number One! Yeah baby! I'm scared as hell, but I'm really excited :)

i just got notified earlier 2day that im going to session two im pretty boosted; from Alexandria VA so its not a long trip 4 me
 
What to bring...?

I will be attending Session 1 and I am an idiot and can't find my list of "What to bring". Is there anyone who can help me out with this list?
 
Yeah, I just found that. Thanks, now I won't look like a lost puppy.
 
haha just don't show up or attend anything in a tux. :)... some people did that during the session I went to and well...
 
Will I need to bring khaki shorts or anything, or is it just mainly athletic shorts?
 
So excited!!!

I got a call this morning asking if i could come to NASS session 1!!!!!!.....I totaly said yes right away.....so crazy busy right now trying to get everything done before saturday..... YAY!!!
 
I am going to the first session, but I completely do not want to start packing yet. I probably wont even pack until like Saturday morning. :(
 
Me neither - I leave tomorrow on the red eye flight to BWI and the only thing in my suitcase is socks... Tehe :)

I was on the waitlist. I also went to an addmission forum in NY last week and meet one of the addmission officers who asked if i would be able to make it on short notice (i said yes in a heatbeat)...So wednesday i get the call. Today i'm begining to stress out, and god knows that i'll be like tomorrow....SO really not mentally prepare for NASS yet...I working on it though.:rolleyes:
