Naval Academy Visit this week

Sounds like it puts Chick & Ruth’s to shame. Hmmm…….I think a trip back to Annapolis is long overdue!

Anyway, back on topic - F15DOC, enjoy your trip! I hope your son gathers all the info he needs. Drop a little coin on USNA stuff while you’re there too!

I love the Shrimp and Grits at the Iron Rooster! But I also had an inexpensive and delicious breakfast of Biscuits and Gravy at Chick and Ruth's! I have never ordered pie at Chick and Ruth's but they looked really good too. :)
 
Wow, Thursday and Friday the weather looks to be amazing, 70 degrees on Thursday, in late October.... nice!!
 
DD is now at Quantico but I just want to go back to Annapolis for the food. Four years of great stuff. Wife still misses Cheeseburger Cheeseburger and their great shakes.
 
Iron Rooster has the best chicken and waffles. I send everyone there. You can not beat the apple fritters at Chick and Ruth's
 
Well, we are here, staying at the Courtyard Marriott, nice place but I had to buy my coffee this morning... first time I came be buying coffee at a hotel in 10 years! At least it was starbucks. Heading in to the academy soon, will probably catch the formal admissions brief they hold at 10 am and 2pm. Will also take the formal tour of campus today. Hope he can catch some of the admission events tomorrow (friday). Think we should start off our visit by stopping by admissions office first?

I would start at admissions. They run tours from the visitor's center every 30-60 minutes or so. Hope everything goes well and you both learn a ton about USNA!
 
Can't believe I forgot this - 1205 noon meal formation in Tecumseh Court. Visitors often observe. Fair weather today, I would predict it's happening.

What a great day, I will post up photos and details after we finish our visit tomorrow... right now we are waiting for our pop tarts at Iron Rooster!!
