I believe that they can 'put in for it' via CHIT if they are SAT. Not sure if large number request if it is a lottery or ranking by class. For Ireland last year there was a couple lotteries with Firsties & 2nd Class filling the 'good one' (transportation and lodging) and then the option DS & his Youngsters got, find your own way there and we have lodging.

Navy has a heck of an offense this year. Being able to run and PASS is a big game changer. Looks like Army has a good game to. Can't wait for the big game. Hope they're both undefeated until then.
DH and I were talking g about this. I think a lot will depend on the health of each team. We are one injury away potentially from a GREAT season!

I was lucky enough to attend a watch party in Tucson. It was hosted by USAFA and USNA alumnus clubs, and they extended in it to our parent club. They got Union Public House bar and restaurant to open early. Every single tv in the place was on the game the whole time. Other patrons kept asking what and who we were. It was so fun!!! I met grads from both. Seeing the camaraderie between them and across the academies was awesome. I met a USNA ‘56, ‘63, ‘73, ‘66, ‘84, and ‘2004.

Lots of friendly ribbing. Lots of cheers. I got to ask what life at USNA was like for each of them. So different from today in so many ways. I enjoyed listening to stories from their time serving. They proudly wore their swag and rings. When USAFA sang, their alumnus stood, removed covers and proudly sang every word. The same happened when USNA sang second. Brought tears to me eyes. Of course they finished with a resounding BEAT ARMY!, which startled the other patrons who then just were all smiles.

I’ve always wanted to go to our club watch parties but they are 3 hours for me each way. This was an hour and worth it. Also, they wholly approve of our new Navy offense.

There's a lot of fb to play, but I was hearing they could meet for the AAC championship one week, then play the A/N game the next.
That would make for some interesting changes to tradition.

Makes sense it might fall put that way, but if I ran the AAC I'd just declare the A/N game the chamionship.... though I expect that loses them some significant $$$

That couldnt work, as the bowls are selected prior to A/N game. If anything, they would want to just call the championship game as the A/N one, but that would mess up the solitary focus the A/N game has their own weekend.

Also, people want to/have planned to attend each game. The hosting cities have planned for each game. Businesses have paid to sponsor each game. It would be a weird thing to play each other two weeks in a row, but also interesting.

We're also only 5 weeks into the season. Lots of games left and one or both teams could fall out of the championship hunt, so to speak.

ok where is the AAC championship and who's planning to go now?! ;)
I think it's the home stadium of the team with the best record. Didn't Navy host versus Temple back in 2016? I think Tulane has hosted in New Orleans the past two years.

"The 2024 American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game will be played on Friday, Dec. 6 at the home stadium of the team with the highest winning percentage in conference play. The game will be televised by either ABC or ESPN."

A/N game has a CONTRACT with CBS and with the stadium. It is the ONLY college game played on that date.
The AAC championship game played the week before does not already have a stadium/city contract BUT there is a
non-insignificant CONTRACT with different TV network than the following week.
CONTRACTS in both cases.

Just realistically managing expectations and setting attainable/achievable goals, while leveraging the diversity of our poster's background and knowledge. ;)
