Hello everybody, I have asked around and discovered that the MMA merchandise website is called the navy exchange. I have gone to the website through a portal on the usmma.edu website but i can't seem to do any shopping because you have to do some sort of log in. it asks for your last name, last 4 digits of your ssn, and your date of birth, and when i do that it says sorry we do not recognize you. I have a feeling its because im not yet registered as attending USMMA because i just sent in my intent to attend signing sheet thingy today. i just want to make sure im not blind or anything and that there isn't a sign up form online that i need to complete before i can shop. any help or advice would be great, thanks.
If you really want to buy stuff and can't get in you can always do prepsportswear.com. I imagine they have a few things that are similar to the NEX items. The nex on campus was like a mini "sports authority" so there can't be too much stuff in there that external sites don't have.
Superswimmer-My guess is you are not enrolled in DEERS (Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System) If you are not part of a military family you probably are not in the system. It is possible you won't be put into the system until you are sworn in at USMMA as a reserve. Therefore not yet eligible to shop at the NEX even online. You will be eligible soon enough though
Supper swimmer, your post prompted me to run straight to the NEX site. I wondered how I did not know about this. Turns out even if you could log in ( I used DS's info) it does not take you to the NEX location at KP. It takes you to the national website for the Navy Exchange. Like the PX on Parris Island, the only other "EX" anything I have been to, it is a general store of sorts used to support personnel of a base or academy. In our case there is a NEX located on campus and it is a great general store type place to serve the M/N, however plebes are limited ie can't buy food for example. It is also great for loading up on KP gear when you or your parents are on campus. You will also want to load up on gear, coffee cups, license plate holders, Xmas ornaments, etc come holiday time for your family. Very important........re-read the last statement, I'll wait.
Okay head to the other apparel sites out there, just google USMMA gear.
ahhh... thank you, that really helps. I will definitely bring back a ton of gifts for my family and especially my 4 year old nephew!!! im going to be so sad to leave him all by his self with just grandma and grandpa and a preppy sister to take care of him.
